Dalam tulisan saya, saya kerap mengkritikkan dasar-dasar kerajaan kita yang menyentuh pada isu kaum dan agama. Pada pendapat saya, dasar-dasar ini bukan sahaja tidak efektif, tetapi sebenarnya merosakkan hubungan antara suku-suku masyarakat kita.
Ini tidak bermaksud saya tidak menyokong dasar-dasar yang membantu rakyat Melayu, ataupun bahawa saya tidak tahu Melayu telah terpaksa menangani diskriminasi yang teruk.
Pemimpin-pemimpin kita sering merujuk kepada suatu “Agenda Melayu”. Kerajaan tidak pernah memberi kita makna atau definasi frasa ini, tetapi mereka tetaplah kerap menggunakan “Agenda Melayu” dalam retorik mereka.
Menurut Bernama, Naib Presiden Pemuda UMNO, Khairy Jamaluddin, telah menyeru agar ahli politik-politik UMNO tidak menyentuh pada isu-isu yang “sensitif” sewaktu Majlis Agung UMNO diadakan minggu hadapan.
